Key Exclusions.

  • Cover provided for driving other cars if the policyholder is between the age of 25-80 (30 for M135 and M235).
  • Theft or attempted theft of your car if your car is unoccupied at the time of theft, unless your car is locked and the ignition key or other removable ignition device was not in, on, or left unattended in the immediate proximity of the car.
  • Loss or damage to non-standard audio / visual and other non-standard in-car entertainment.
  • No Claims Bonus (NCB) Protection is only available if you have earned at least 4 years NCB at inception of the policy.
  • Uninsured driver promise will only apply once we prove the accident was not your fault and you provide details of the uninsured driver if possible.

BMW Car Insurance Eligibility Criteria.

Drivers.

  • Aged 25 - 80 (minimum driver age of 30 years old for BMW M135 and M235).
  • Up to four additional drivers (spouse, partner, family member).
  • Permanent UK resident.
  • Have a full/provisional UK or full EU licence.
  • Have a maximum of 1 minor driving convictions in the past five years and no major convictions.
  • Have had no more than 1 at-fault claims in the past five years.
  • You or your spouse, partner or civil partner (not business partner) will be the main driver.
  • The main driver must be the first registered keeper of the car.
  • Policy must be taken out in an individual’s name (not a company/business).
  • Not had insurance cancelled or refused by an insurer.
  • Not previously banned from driving.
  • The main driver must be able to pass an identity check at their address.

Vehicle and Usage.

  • All BMW 1 Series and 2 Series Gran Coupé models ordered between 1 July 2026 and 30 September 2026 and registered by 31 March 2027.
  • BMW will be registered at your home address.
  • Owned and registered by you, your spouse, partner or civil partner (not business partner), by your parent, guardian, grandparent or a leasing company (where you have a contract to insure the vehicle).
  • Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SDP).
  • Social, Domestic, Pleasure and Commuting (SDP&C).
  • SDP&C including Business Use (Class 1).
  • Your BMW is not used for Hire & Reward.
