Every great trip begins with excitement, and ours started at Sandal BMW Wakefield. With the iX fully charged and the MyBMW App open on our phones, we were ready to see how BMW Charging could support a real-life road trip.
There’s a certain reassurance in knowing that your journey is supported by a growing charging network. From the moment we left the dealership, we weren’t just focused on the destination -we were testing the convenience and confidence that comes with BMW Charging.

Acting as the perfect co-driver, it mapped out our route, highlighted where the chargers were, and even gave real-time updates to make sure we always had the best options at our fingertips. Instead of worrying about where to stop or how much range we had left, the app gave us all the information upfront.
It removed the stress of the unknown and replaced it with complete confidence. It really is like having a co-pilot who knows every turn and every charging station -without the backseat driving.

While the chargers kept our journey flowing, the iX made every mile enjoyable. Driving through the Peak District’s winding roads was the perfect opportunity to experience its comfort, stability, and luxury. The near-silent drive heightened the feeling of being immersed in nature, while the smooth handling made each twist and turn effortless.
It’s proof that with BMW Charging making the journey possible, the iX ensures every second behind the wheel is premium. The two work hand in hand - the network giving you the confidence to explore, and the car making sure you love every moment of the ride.
