For Ben, the connection to BMW didn’t start with his first car - it started much earlier. As a child, he remembers following his dad around the dealership, taking in every model, every shape, and every detail. From those early moments, something stuck.
What began as curiosity quickly grew into a genuine passion - one built over years of being surrounded by BMWs, watching them come and go, and always wanting to be part of that journey himself. And over time, that journey was only ever heading in one direction.
GROWING UP BMW.
Ben grew up surrounded by BMWs. From 3 Series and 5 Series models to X5s, M5s, and even an M3 CS, the brand was always part of everyday life.
“We’ve had a lot of BMWs,” he explains. “You move up the tree… and being around those sorts of cars most of my life, it only makes you want more.”
That constant exposure built something deeper than just familiarity - it created a genuine passion. One that was always leading somewhere.
THE FIRST STEP.
It was only ever going to end one way. At just 19, Ben bought his very first BMW - an Alpine White BMW 1 Series (F21). It was a milestone moment. The start of his own journey with the brand he’d grown up around. But while each car that followed was, in his words, “fantastic,” there was always something missing.
THE MISSING INGREDIENT.
That missing piece was simple: M. Ben had experienced everything else BMW had to offer, but there was always that next level calling. The one that takes performance, feeling, and connection to something more. “The road only leads to M,” he says. And now, having made that step, it all makes sense. His current BMW M2 is one that completes the journey. “By far the best car I have ever owned… it puts a smile on your face.”
FULL CIRCLE.
From following his dad around the dealership as a child, to owning his own M car today, Ben's story has come full circle.
It’s a journey built on passion, shaped by experience, and driven by the desire for something more. And for Ben, that “something more” could only ever be found in BMW M.
As he puts it: “We’re all crazy for BMWs… but there’s a good reason for that. They’re simply the best cars.”
