After three years of enjoying your new MINI, it’s time to schedule your first MOT test to ensure everything is running at its best. From then on, an annual MOT will be required to keep your MINI road-ready and fully compliant with legal standards.
Our MOT inspection covers over 150 safety and emissions-related systems—including lights, steering, brakes, and suspension. This thorough check ensures your MINI not only meets all legal requirements but also continues to deliver the fun and dynamic driving experience you love.

MOT with Sandal MINI
Your first MOT is due when your MINI reaches three years old. After that, you'll need an MOT every year to ensure your vehicle continues to meet UK road safety and emissions standards.
During the test, over 150 safety and environmental checks are carried out, including your brakes, steering, suspension, lights and tyres, helping keep your MINI safe and road legal.
We offer your MINI's first MOT for just £54, with subsequent annual MOTs available from £40.

If it's your MINI's first MOT, you'll also benefit from MINI Protect. Should your vehicle unexpectedly fail due to a covered component, repairs, replacement parts and labour are included at no extra cost, helping get your MINI back on the road quickly and with complete peace of mind.*
*MOT Protect is valid for the vehicle’s first MOT only. Cost of MOT test or re-test, wheels, tyres, windscreen, brake pads and discs, modified/non MINI components, failure as a result of neglect and MOT advisories are not covered by MOT Protect. Repairs must be carried out by a MINI Approved Retailer within 30 days of the MOT inspection failure.
