When do I need an MOT and why?
After three years of owning your MINI you should book in for an MOT test. Following that, you will be required to book an MOT every year moving forwards.
The standard inspection of over 150 safety and emissions related systems, including lights, steering, brakes and suspension, ensures your MINI meets legal requirements, as well as helping preserve the driving experience you have come to enjoy.
No one knows your MINI like we do and with technicians who have specialised training and only use Genuine MINI Parts to replace like-for-like, you are guaranteed exceptional care and service. Sandal will also give you the official VT20 certificate once your vehicle has passed its MOT and help to prepare your MINI to ensure it passes first time.
Your first MOT inspection will arrive faster than you think. That’s why Sandal offer MINI MOT Protect, a complimentary cover for all new MINI's. Question: How much does an MOT cost?
Your first MOT is £54.85. This cost is reduced to £30 on MINI’s over 37 months old.
Question: What happens if I fail my MOT?
Answer: We’ll help prepare your vehicle for its MOT as much as we can and in the unlikely event that it does fail its MOT, we will work with you to find the reasons why and to ensure it passes a second time round.
Question: What exactly does an MOT inspection include?
Answer: A MINI MOT includes a 150-point vehicle inspection. If your BMW passes its inspection, you will be issued with an official VT20 certificate which is your receipt for the MOT test and shows the information that will be held on the MOT database. Any recommended additional work will be listed on the advisory notice of the VT32 document.
