WHAT IS THE MOTABILITY SCHEME?
The Motability Scheme is a simply designed leasing package for helping people with disabilities and war pensioners. In joining the Motability Scheme there are a wide range of vehicles available to choose from that Sandal MINI can offer you.
This route to worry-free motoring offers the following benefits:
- Your Insurance and road tax costs included
- Servicing, maintenance, windscreen, and tyre replacement costs are all built in
- There is cover for accident and breakdown
- Adaptions are available, many are at no extra cost
- You can nominate up to two drivers on your policy.
- Selected models also offer access to drivers under 25 years old.
- A new MINI every 3 years with 60,000-mile allowance or 100,000 miles for Wheelchair Adapted Vehicles (WAV)
AM I ELIGIBLE?
To lease a MINI through Motability, within your allowance, you need to have a minimum of at least 12 months award, and you must be receiving one of the below:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
- Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
ADAPTATIONS
At Sandal MINI, we are here to support you and help enhance your overall motoring experience. We want to ensure you make the right decisions and that it can be optimised for your needs. Options such as automatic transmission features, push-button ignition and height-adjustable seating positions could improve to your overall experience and can be made available on most models.
If adaptations are required to your vehicle, they need to be fitted at the start of Contract Hire lease, many of the more popular ones come at no additional cost. If they fall outside this, will require payment as part of your advance. There is a Motability Managed Adaptations Programme that has been made available to help you with your adaptations process and completed by an approved installer. Our Motability Sales Specialists at Sandal MINI are here to help.

The Advance Payments detailed here are valid for vehicles ordered through the Motability Scheme between 1 October 2021 to 31 December 2021.
The Scheme is operated by Motability Operations Ltd, under contract to Motability, a registered Charity (No. 299745). Motability Operations Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under reference number 735390.
