Last Sunday, Sandal were thrilled to be part of the goodbye convoy of the Yorkshire Job.
The Italian Job is a MINI driving adventure through some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe and a fundraising challenge in aid of children's charities. Due to the pandemic, the logistics of hosting the usual event were challenging to say the least so the destination was moved to Gods own Country, Yorkshire. This provided us with the ideal opportunity to showcase the stunning MINI Electric along with a full heritage of MINIs from every decade all displayed in a backdrop of one of Yorkshire's most architecturally stunning and historic sites, The Piece Hall in Halifax.
The Yorkshire Job took in some of the County's most scenic spots including the Yorkshire Dales, Dalby Forest and the East Coast towns of Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay all while raising money for Children’s charity Buttle UK. The Piece Hall hosted the final stop on the journey where we met up with The “Jobbers” which included MINI UK director David George before they went their separate ways. The MINIs were arranged for the final photoshoot before The Piece Hall was opened up to the public who came to take a look at some of the finest examples of modern and classic MINIs available. It was an honour for us to bring along our MINI Electric in British Racing Green and place it amongst all which came before it and who knows, maybe we will see the MINI Electric taking part in the Italian Job 2022.
